Carols & Lessons
Sunday, December 19, 10 am
We will be joined by Brass Over Bridges quintet for a traditional Advent service of Carols and Lessons, with a special focus on examining the “Song of Mary,” in which Mary rejoices at God’s promise to “lift the lowly, fill the hungry, cast down the powerful, and send the rich away.” Coats and socks will be collected to give away with our weekly Food Ministry service.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Friday, December 24, 5 pm
You will not want to miss this year’s Christmas Eve Service. There will be an opportunity for children and adults to spontaneously participate in the telling of the Christmas Story; we will sing traditional Christmas carols and enjoy special music performed by Brass Over Bridges Quintet and light up the sanctuary with candles while singing Silent Night. Invite your friends and family to this engaging and beautiful service.

Post-Christmas Contemplative Service
Sunday, December 26, 10 am
After the excitement and celebration of Christmas Day, First Church is offering a different kind of worship service on the day after Christmas that allows the congregation to reflect on the wonder of Emmanuel, God With Us.

We will explore the Christmas themes of Hope, Love, Peace and Joy with opportunities to sing and enjoy Christmas carols and special music, hear testimony and engage in lighting candles, contemplation and written prayers.
