Worship & Music
Worship & Music is the main focus of our congregational life. Our Sunday service seeks to expand on traditional understanding of scripture for our modern world. Our members and friends have different levels of belief, and our teaching reflects both diversity of thought and understanding.
We share a feeling of connection to God through the experience of uniting in worship. Members treasure a sense of belonging and the connections that form within the church family. We find the relationships and spirit of kindness that is present in our church to be a source of spiritual renewal.

Our music ranges from traditional to spirituals, blues, African and contemporary. There are many avenues to share music. Join our choir, or play your own instrument during worship or our community events. Most Sundays the choir performs and we frequently have instrumental and vocal soloists.

Ride on, King Jesus; Arr. Hall Johnson

We have an amazing Rosales Opus 16 organ. Its 4,062 pipes, some as high as 3 stories, can rock the church and the neighbors across the street. We’re also gifted with a piano, a Hammond organ and a harpsicord.
We sponsor our own musical performances through Arts Under the Spire, and have hosted artists like John Santos and Jonathan Dimmock. We also share our magnificent sanctuary with choral groups, including the Lucy Kinchen Chorale and Cantare con Vivo.
