Stewardship of the mind is an essential part of our call as Christ’s disciples. Christian formation is a life long process of learning. With this in mind the Adult Education Committee has planned a varied and challenging programs.

We are a multi-generational church that prioritizes children and youth. We provide a safe and encouraging environment for children and youth to explore their innate spirituality.

Mission at First gives us the opportunity to put hands and hearts together in service for others, an incarnate way of learning how to do onto others as we would have them do for us. We have the opportunity to proclaim Christ's love for us by living out God's call to love justice, to do mercy, and to walk humbly with our God (Micah 6.8).

Volunteers are welcome. Please contact the chair or one of the members of the Mission Committee to offer your heart, mind, and hands!

Music is an integral part of congregational life. We choose music by the great masters of classical music, chant, Christian contemporary, folk, world music and African-American spirituals.

Members of the circle reflect on selected biblical texts using lectio divina (holy reading of scripture), share spiritual poetry and spend time in prayer for one another. Women of all ages are welcome to join the circle.
